In kindergarten, students were recently introduced to the idea of primary colors. Through the book Mouse Paint, students learned how these three special colors can mix to form other colors. We experimented with the primary colors using oil pastels first, and then moved on to using tempera paint.
Students were asked to keep the primary colors visible on their papers, but to also mix them to create the secondary colors. Once completed, students were able to cut out mice to add to their papers, just like the three mice from Mouse Paint.
